As you walked around the show at SEMA 2013, there was no doubt that Vortech and Paxton were represented well everywhere on some of the best vehicles on display this year…and is there any question why? Anyone who has experience with Vortech & Paxton knows that those names are synonymous with unparalleled quality, level of design and engineering, coupled with the unmatched reliability, and (of course) legendary power gains and seat-of-the-pants excitement. There is only one professional.
Ted Dzus’ wild 1951 Henry J is one classic that most people never saw coming. Unique lines and massive power from the Vortech V-4 Supercharged powerplant under the hood made it an attention getter in the Painless Performance Booth.
The Rockstar Performance Garage booth had it all this year – and this Vortech V-3 Supercharged Camaro SS was sitting right up front to pull you right in. Sporting a new design scheme and graphics, and parts from such industry heavies as Brembo and Seibon, the convertible Camaro provided the muscle car for this multi-faceted showing.
Another star in the Rockstar Performance Garage Booth was this 2014 Chevy Silverado. This lifted beast features a new air-to-water cooled Vortech V-3 system, and Vortech’s new Maxflow variable boost controller. No stranger to Vortech and Paxton, Rockstar Performance Garage’s Nic Ashby wanted to have this Chevy done up right. Look for it to be tearing it up at shows and offroad events all over this year.
Right alongside Rockstar Performance Garage is their good friends at RIPP Superchargers. Here we see their incredibly popular 3.8L V6 Jeep JK System on a sweet looking kit display. RIPP has been in the game a long time doing systems for all types of vehicles in need of some extra power, and as we all know…all the best 3rd party supercharging systems use Vortech or Paxton Superchargers in them when they want efficient, reliable horsepower for their kits.
Also in the RIPP Superchargers Booth showing some great offroad suspension travel was the RIPP Superchargers/Vortech V-3 Supercharged 3.6L Pentastar V6 Jeep JK. RIPP has just recently released this Pentastar system, and its potential is quite high due to the sheer number of vehicles that use the same 3.6L V6 powerplant. We can’t wait to see what they do with it!
Also on display from RIPP Superchargers was this RIPP/Vortech Supercharged 5.7L HEMI Ram Truck. RIPP Superchargers has systems for all 2009-2014 5.7L HEMI Ram Trucks. Give them a call to get yours today!
Another of the most talked about cars of the show was this gorgeous Vortech V-3 H67B Supercharged Rocket Bunny 2 Subaru BRZ from LTMW in the Nitto Tires Booth.
Ralph Pearson’s completely wild Vortech Supercharged SRT8 Magnum never fails to grab tons of attention.
Muzzy Yousefi’s Vortech Supercharged widebody 350Z was another outstanding build on display. Sporting modified or custom just about everything, Muzzy’s car epitomizes how extreme you can go with a build when a healthy budget and attention to detail are 2 of the tools in your toolbox.
We have been a fan of Rich Taylor’s “Double Trouble” Twin Vortech Supercharged 1972 Camaro for quite a while now. We are sure after seeing these pics that you will be too. We found Rich’s car looking amazing in the Mother’s outside display area. This car is immaculate and beyond gorgeous. Rich tells us he is working on a new project for next year, and we won’t give it away just yet, but we think the next project will be just as impressive as this one.
Chris Alston’s Chassisworks display featured this CDS Gear-Driven Vortech V-20 Supercharger. For serious horsepower setups only guys!
Dropping at SEMA with the new Rocket Bunny version 2 setup, Robert Kochis’ Vortech V-3 Supercharged #Staycrushing FR-S was hood up and looking great right outside the central hall.
Wheel Warehouse brought out their Vortech V-2 Supercharged 1969 Chevy Caprice to show off some old school supercharged muscle.
TruFiber’s 2013 5.0L drop-top Mustang GT is one great looking ride, and TruFiber make some really great products. If you haven’t already done so, you should probably check them out.
Zach Delmont’s Vortech V-3 Supercharged 2010 5.0L Mustang GT features one of the earliest Vortech systems for the Coyote 5.0L engine, as well as a host of other great parts including AirLift suspension, Forgestar Wheels, Magnaflow Exhaust, Baer Brakes, and lots more.
Jeff Jordan and Jordan Innovations have been talking to us about their project FD RX7 for some time now, but we had no idea it was going to turn out quite like this! The LSX-Swapped powerplant (kind-of) under the hood is topped with a 50mm cog driven Vortech V-7 YSi Supercharging system, capable of horsepower results well North of quadruple digits without any trouble at all.
Rene Viniegra’s “Project Breezy” Subaru BRZ may have been the only FT86 with the ML24 body kit on at the show. That, coupled with his Vortech V-3 H67B Supercharging System under the hood and additional modifications that include names such as SSR, Falken, Mishimoto and Takata, this BRZ is one to watch.
Spade Kreations brought out their built LSX and Vortech V-7 YSi Supercharged Camaro SS all the way from OH to showcase what they can do. Even though it had to stay standing still at the show, quadruple digit power numbers are at the command of your right foot with this beast.
Another of the ESS Tuning/Vortech Supercharged Liberty Walk BMW E92 M3′s could be found in the Forgestar Wheels Booth. for more information on these BMW systems, contact ESS Tuning.
We found Junior Garcia & Gustavo Figueroa’s pair of Paxton & Vortech Supercharged Mustangs out in the new south Hall feature Car section. This pair of boosted Mustangs have all the bases covered.
JBA Speed Shop’s Vortech V-3 Supercharged BOSS 302 Mustang was in the South Hall Feature Car area as well. for more information on JBA’s BOSS 302 Supercharging System, contact JBA Speed Shop.
Noel Barnum changed up his Vortech V-3 Supercharged Rocket Bunny FR-S for SEMA to this bright yellow scheme. Considering we haven’t seen an 86 look this good in yellow since RJ DeVera’s Meguiar’s FR-S…we approve!
Dean Kearney’s Paxton NOVI 2000 Supercharged Viper Drift Machine.
Migel’s Vortech V-3 H67B Supercharged Scion FR-S was the very first FT86 to be sold in the U.S., and he has the badge and case from Scion to prove it.
Well, we did our best…I’m sure with so many great Vortech & Paxton Supercharged vehicles at the show this year, we may have missed a few. If you have pictures of your own that you would like us to check out (especially of vehicles we may have missed). Send us a message or comment!
Special thanks to everyone for the additional photography. Without your help, this would have been much more difficult.
