SEMA is arguably the most exciting automotive event of the year, and Vortech brings it every single year. With an all new look and an entire booth filled with some of the most jaw dropping cars from each segment, the APG/Vortech/Paxton Superchargers Booth was a required stopping spot for every single attendee of the show this year. In fact, we are a little embarrassed to admit it, but we were actually so busy that we had to send our Vortech army out to help us with photographic evidence of all of the Vortech equipped vehicles at the show! Take a look at some of the best cars this year…
Aaron Kaufman from Gas Monkey Garage stopped by the Vortech booth to talk with Vortech’s Brian Ellis, along with admire the HPI Customs Chrysler Imperial and the “Top Notch” Fox Body from Creations n’ Chrome.
The “Yellow Jacket” 2014 Mustang GT was front and center on the Ford Ramp, and with its striking yellow paint and contrasting black Vortech V-3 Si Supercharging System under the hood, plus Maximum Motorsports suspension, Borla Exhaust, iForged Wheels, Baer Brakes, Falken Tires, MGW Shifter, TruFiber Carbon Hood and accessories, 3D Carbon Body Kit, American Muscle lower front grille, Katzkin Interior and MMD/Raxiom GPS unit, there was no walking by this car without giving it a few admiring looks.
If you’ve been under a rock and haven’t heard about Creations n’ Chrome’s “Top Notch” Fox Body Mustang, allow us to educate you. A Ford Racing Coyote Aluminator engine, set back 17.5″ for a perfect 50/50 weight distribution, with a Vortech V-7 JT Supercharging System pushing 20 pounds of boost through a huge Vortech Intercooler, making 855 horsepower at the rear wheels. If that weren’t enough, the car also weighs next to nothing, and has an insane inboard cantilevered front suspension to catapult this car to absolute legendary status. Sporting a fresh coat of Race Red paint for the show, the car has never been more ready to destroy the track.
Christian Coujin’s Vortech V-3 H67B Supercharged Rocket Bunny Scion FR-S had the show talking with its unique green paint from Phantasy Kolors, Rocket Bunny Version 1 body kit, AirRex air suspension, Baer Brakes, and Rotiform Wheels.
To say HPI Customs’ Chrysler Imperial dubbed “The Tyrant” is another build worthy of your admiration, is yet another massive understatement. With over 3,500 hours of labor in fabrication and customization, a Viper V10 under the hood with a Paxton NOVI 2000 strapped to it, this one of a kind street rod was the darling of magazine editors and hot rod enthusiasts alike.
While lots of builders are lifting their trucks, the Tjin Edition Ecoboost F150 takes it in a completely different direction…by setting it right down on the frame. As an ambassador for the brand new line of Vortech Intercoolers, this Ecoboost F150 saw a sizable gain in horsepower & torque, plus over a 30 degree drop in intake air temps…all WITHOUT A TUNE. Some of the many other reasons this truck rocks are the customized body work and suspension, dual Webasto sunroofs, 24″ Rotiform Wheels, Baer Brakes, and Falken Tires.
Liberty Walk was a name that was mentioned in every corner of SEMA this year, with several new cars debuting at the show. The Liberty Walk E92 M3′s are a favorite of many, that is why we brought along this ESS Tuning/Vortech Supercharged beauty from LT Motorwerks. Rounded out by KW suspension, Rotiform Wheels, and Nitto Invo Tires, this M3 sits low, looks great, and has some majorly boosted muscle to go with it.
The UTI Ford Focus ST features one of the new Vortech Intercoolers, and with its custom bodywork and classic Gulf paint scheme, Ford honored it with an award for Outstanding Achievement in Design.
Another of the Vortech Intercooler equipped Ecoboost Fords at SEMA this year is the Oxnard PD D.R.A.G.G. Focus ST that was on display in the Ford Booth. With a completely bolt-on design and absolutely no cutting required, The new Vortech Intercoolers are a great way to add power an decrease intake air temperatures without breaking the bank.
