DJ Reid is what you might call a changed man. After borrowing a Vortech unit from a friend earlier this year to continue competing while his damaged brand X supercharger was out being repaired, DJ found very quickly that Vortech Superchargers are the real deal.
“One look at the data and I was sold. We are making better, cleaner power with super low outlet temps, and that was with 4 degrees less total than before. When I see IAT’s drop by 200 degrees before the cooler, fuel consumption go down and more power with less boost, I have to make a decision that will put me in the winner’s circle.”
The change has made all the difference, as DJ won the first race of the season, then Qualified #1 at Pomona with a field-eclipsing 5.096 @ 151.46, and ended the weekend grabbing the runner-up spot…narrowly missing out to Ryan “Toaster” Jones in an insanely close race in the finals.

This Vortech Supercharged Coyote 5.0 Convertible was pulling tire and running 10.80′s.
The Chris Alston’s Chassisworks Booth was decked out with Vortech Superchargers flavor at the event, with multiple Supercharged display engines, race blowers, and literature on hand to help not only with their CDS gear drives, but also with all sorts of Vortech applications.
The Rockstar Performance Garage Camaro SS Convertible was looking sweet in the car show area, with it’s Vortech V-3 Si Supercharging System rocketing this drop top Gen. 5 to well over 600 horsepower at only 7psi.
Vince’s Vortech Supercharged ’95 GT has been one of our favorites forever, mainly because he keeps this car cleaner than most brand new cars. Polished up and gorgeous, this GT has some real attention to detail under the hood.
This Vortech V-3 Supercharged Sterling Grey 5.0L Coyote Mustang GT was in the car show area looking good as well.
